the girls’ lounge / The female Quotient
Between 2015 and 2016, I took a year off from college to work at The Girls’ Lounge/The Female Quotient. As a small but mighty team of seven, we went around the world creating experiential lounges at major marketing and advertising conferences with one mission: to create conversations around gender parity in the workplace.
My responsibilities started as a graphic designer and project manager, assisting with a rebrand and our event collateral. Throughout my year at TFQ, my responsibilities grew, ranging from photographer to videographer, social media manager to creative media manager, project manager to studio artist. I customized t-shirt designs on-site while also managing our video crew. I created the content and photography that was published on our social media pages, and also designed our decks for prospective partnerships. When signage delivery was delayed, I painted our logos and tagline on the walls as a solution. Working at The Girls' Lounge/The Female Quotient gave me valuable insight on what it means to work at a young startup and how to successfully multitask between all of the responsibilities.
